If you live in Houston, or if you don’t, take some time to check out Becker’s Books.  The unassuming bookstore off of Westview is truly a treasure trove of antique and resale books on every subject imaginable.  Rooms and hallways twist, turn and an occasionally dead end as you work your way through a surprising 3500ft²  home tuned bookstore. Last time I was there I probably spent around half an hour in a section on sailing, adjacent to gardening. I’ve never sailed or been sailed, I was thinking I might find a building diagram or blueprint worth framing in there somewhere (Like this – except not so rustic).  Anyways, It’s a great place to find a gift, unusual read or waste some time on a lazy Saturday.  If you’re not in the area or want to check for something before you head over, search their online catalog here.
